Welcome to the Atlanta Jazz Party where we bring you the best in Live Hot Jazz!! Pualani and I could not be prouder to bring you all what was one of the most memorable events of our lives. The 22nd Atlanta Jazz Party! The response from all of you was unanimous. Many of you shared that you thought it was the best AJP to date. Thank you all for your support. We could not do it without the support of our Patrons and Guarantors. To be quite clear....the financial support provided by this group is what is keeping us going. We wish to extend a big Thank You to those Guarantors and Patrons that paid in advance for next year. We intend to continue this as long as we have the support but we suffered this year. To make plans for 2013 we need your support now. I feel that the appetite for our jazz is there and with your help we will make it another 20 Years! In the swinging, Atlanta Jazz Party! 'Hot Jazz' tradition, we're pleased to announce the addition to next year's all-star line-up -- From Orlando Florida ,Vocalist Ashley Locheed. She earned her degree in Vocal Performance from Stetson University and performs at local venues such as the Portofino Hotel Waterfront, The Vines, The Ritz-Carlton, J.W. Marriott Hotel, and Timpano; and her band, The Ashley Locheed Quartet can be heard at jazz festivals, corporate, and private events and recently touring with Allan Vaché as well as the legendary Englebert Humperdink. And on trombone John Allred. John performs at many jazz parties, festivals, and workshops, making guest appearances worldwide. He has shared the stage with many past AJP All-Stars and it's high time he joined the lineup. 'Crooner' Freddy Cole will join us for what is certain to be another memorable Pizzarelli-Cole reunion performance; Returning next year the ever popular Richard Simon on Bass and Russ Philips on trombone; And the swing of vibraphone and drummer Chuck Redd, and Rebecca Kilgore will grace the stage this year as well! Joining them will be long-time AJP favorites Ed Polcer, Bob Schulz, Jon-Erik Kellso andDuke Heitger on cornet; Allan Vaché, and Harry Allen on reeds; Of course the lineup would not be complete without John Cocuzzi on vibes, vocals and piano along with Mark Shane, Rossano Sportiello; Matt Munisteri and Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar; Ed Metz Jr. on drums rounding out this year's ALL Star Lineup! The music is in the tradition of Hot Jazz Chicago/New York, BG Quartet, West Coast, New Orleans jazz bands and combos. All-star line-ups will play eight sets on Friday night, seven sets on Saturday afternoon, eight sets on Saturday night, and seven sets on Sunday. All performers get featured in each session. Atlanta Jazz Party! Guarantors and Patrons get to attend all four sessions plus the exclusive Saturday morning jazz brunch just for them and the musicians.
