John Sheridan - piano
John Sheridan from Columbus, Ohio, got hooked on Jazz when he heard B.G.'s Carnegie Hall Concert records. His first pro job was at 13 in high school. John played in college and then in the U.S. Navy Band. He got his MM degree in 1977 at N. Texas State University. At that time he played with the Upper Dallas Jazz Band. He met Jim Cullum and joined his band in 1979. While with the band, he has written over 1,000 arrangements for the Jim Cullum Jazz Band and other bands. John also has done tours and recording sessions with Warren Vaché, Scott Hamilton, Jake Hanna, Bob Haggart, Yank Lawson, Ralph Sutton, Dick Hyman and many others.
