Peter was born in Connecticut, and earned BA and MA degrees from Yale. He
moved to NY in the '70s and toured with many popular music artists, including
Maria Muldaur, Gregg Allman, Bonnie Raitt and Leon Redbone. At present, Peter
plays first trumpet with Vince Giordano's Nighthawks and co-leads the Orphan
Newsboys with Marty Grosz. He plays in Woody Allen's band at Michael's
Pub, the Peter Gordon's Love of Life Orchestra and the Lenny Pickett Ensenble. Peter's cornet can be heard in many movies, including "King of the Gypsies,"
"Eight Men Out" and "Fried Green Tomatoes," and on many TV shows; Garrison
Keillor's "Prairie Home Companion" and the PBS special film "The Civil War."
